Happy (Belated) St. Patty's Day!!!! Jeremy, Myah and I went to a St. Patty's Day Parade in Des Moines . What a hoot! Lots and lots of GREEN!
Um, I had to take this lil lads pic! Look at him with his lil plaid shirt, vest, bow tie, and oh that lil carrot top!
Look at Jeremy Rockin the big green hat and his beads he worked( yelled ) so hard for!
Kiss Me I'm Irish! (ok, I'm mostly German with a touch of French, he he)
Jeremy and I have very similar tattoos. Ok, pretty close(mine is actually the tightly knotted version.) He had his first and I thought it was cool , so years later I decided to get one similar. He had a big impact on growing my faith, so I thought he wouldn't mind ;) Here is a little history on the Celtic symbol!
Christian useThe symbol has been used by Christians as a sign of the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), especially since the Celtic Revival of the 19th century. When modern designers began to display the triquetra as a stand-alone design, it recalled the three-leafed shamrock which was similarly offered as a trinity symbol by Saint Patrick. Some have also suggested that the triquetra has a similarity to the Christian Ιχθυς symbol. The triquetra has been used extensively on Christian sculpture, vestments, book arts and stained glass. It has been used on the title page and binding of some editions of the New King James Version.
